She Knows

Led into a room,
silently it is done.
From her blessed womb,
directly to the tomb.
No more suffering -
it is done.
Instinctively she knows;
But she can not change a thing.
And her chest burns
as her eyes sting.
What have I done -
her ears begin to ring.
Denial is her only refuge,
as she tries to suppress the truth.
But despite her mind and the rationale,
Instinctively she knows -
She is a killer.
By the very nature of her womanhood,
the reality is clearly understood.

Led into a room,
silently it is done.
A baby without a name -
She knows she won't ever be the same.
